Interview Guide for Hogan Assessments

The Interview Guide allows Hogan certified practitioners to further assess individuals’ capability on each of the HPI, HDS and MVPI scales and to probe areas of concern in the context of selection, and opportunities to improve in the context of development.

SELECTION

The Interview Guide allows Hogan certified practitioners to make better selection decisions, particularly when utilised to inform the interview process between the assessment-taking and interview phases.

The interview questions are designed to enable Hogan certified practitioners to evaluate how an individual’s personality characteristics impact on their work behaviour and performance. The questions elicit behavioural responses based on an individual’s previous work experiences.

DEVELOPMENT

For development contexts, this guide will enable coaches and practitioners to probe development opportunities further in order to facilitate better outcomes. It can be used as a resource for drawing out tangible behavioural examples for reflection, building self-awareness, and creating insights around developing more effective behavioural competencies.

FORMAT

Hogan Practitioners can order the Main Guide which provides questions at the:

  • General (0 – 100th percentile)
  • Low to Below Average (0-50th percentile), and Above Average to High (51st – 100th percentile) ranges for the HPI and MVPI
  • Moderate to High Risk range (70th – 100th percentile) for the HDS

There are also optional and customised Appendices, which target specific populations or purposes. Examples of customisable appendices are: HDS Subscales, Leaders, Safety and Customer Service.
